Spring Toggle Anchor

A specialized hollow wall anchor designed to secure fixtures to lightweight materials such as plasterboard,cavity walls,and hollow ceilings. The anchor consists of a machine screw and a set of folding,spring-loaded wings. Installation requires drilling a hole large enough for the collapsed wings to pass through. Once through the cavity,the wings spring open. As the screw is tightened,the wings pull tight against the inside face of the wall,spreading the load over a wide area,which is crucial for preventing pull-out in brittle or thin sheeting materials.
