We are looking to recruit a hardworking and enthusiastic team member who wants to join our fast paced and friendly working environment. This is a full-time permanent, role based at our Kendal branch:


Key Areas of the Role:

Reporting to the Trade Counter Supervisor, you will be an integral member of the Trade Counter Team. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Greeting and assisting our customers at the Trade Counter, addressing their needs promptly.
  • Gain a good understanding of our products, including features, benefits, and pricing so that you can promote and upsell where appropriate, and close sales transactions efficiently.
  • Handling both cash and card payments and maintaining accurate records.
  • Stock management – ensuring the Counter is organised, restocking shelves, and managing inventory.
  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with customers on a face-to-face basis, as well as an existing understanding of the industry in which Thomas Grahams operates.
 

Reality Check:

Due to the nature of the role, you will be working on your feet for the duration of the day and various tasks can be physically demanding, requiring aspects of manual handling. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is aware and prepared to undertake these duties on a regular basis.


Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of a Sales Environment
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate initiative, be motivated and carry out tasks to completion.
  • Team player


Hours of work:

8am to 5pm Monday to Friday (13:30 pm Early Finish Friday – alternate weeks)
