Trusted system for powerful, long-term anti rust and rust treatment.
When rust threatens the appearance or performance of steelwork, equipment or outdoor metal surfaces, the Corroless™ range of rust treatment paint provides proven solutions for stopping rust and corrosion and extending service life. Our selection includes rust‑stabilising primers, high‑build epoxy coatings and durable topcoats designed for industrial, marine and general maintenance environments.
While widely used across engineering and heavy industry, Corroless™ products are also ideal for domestic restoration projects. A rusted BBQ, garden heater or metal furniture can often be revived using Corroless™ QDR instead of replacing it - giving you a long‑lasting, cost‑effective finish.
Before choosing any coating, it’s important to understand the condition of the metal you’re working with. If corrosion has already compromised the structural integrity of the item, the affected sections must be cut out and replaced - no coating can restore lost strength.
However, if the structure is sound, there is a Corroless™ solution for almost every situation, whether you’re maintaining industrial steelwork or restoring outdoor metal at home. The range is built around practical, proven technologies that stop corrosion, stabilise rust and deliver long‑term protection.
Rust Converters & Stabilisers
Rust converters such as Corroless™ QDR are the go‑to choice when rust is already present and sandblasting isn’t possible. All Corroless™ products can be hand prepared and still achieve the specification required. QDR is widely used by both domestic and industrial users because it is:
Fast‑drying - ideal for quick maintenance or changeable weather
High‑build - can be applied thickly to cover imperfections
Glass‑flake reinforced - giving excellent impact and abrasion resistance
QDR chemically stabilises rust, creating a hard, sealed surface that can be left as a durable sheen finish (as long as the correct dry film thickness is reached in accordance with the TDS). If a gloss finish is preferred, it can be over‑coated with Corroless™ RF16, which can be tinted to most RAL and BS colours. RF16 is also glass‑flake reinforced, so you don’t lose any durability when adding a decorative topcoat.
Best for: Domestic restoration, general maintenance, weathered steel, railings, gates, plant equipment, BBQs, garden metalwork.
Anti‑Corrosion Primers
Anti‑corrosion primers form the foundation of a long‑lasting coating system. They improve adhesion, seal the substrate and help prevent corrosion from returning.
The Corroless™ range includes rust‑stabilising primers and epoxy primers designed for prepared steel, fabrications, pipework and machinery.
If the metal is sound and properly prepared, a primer is the correct first coat before applying a topcoat or epoxy layer.
High‑Build Epoxy Coatings
For industrial applications requiring very long‑term corrosion resistance, Corroless™ EPF is the flagship solution. EPF is a 2‑pack, glass‑flake reinforced epoxy available in buff or black, and offers:
Up to 25 years to first maintenance (depending on film thickness)
Sheen finish that does not require over‑coating unless decorative colour is needed
Ability to be applied to damp steel, making it ideal for coastal or tidal environments
Exceptional barrier protection due to glass‑flake reinforcement
Although EPF will eventually chalk under UV exposure, this does not reduce its corrosion protection - only its appearance.
Where a decorative finish is required, EPF can be over‑coated with Corroless™ RF61 (gloss) or Corroless™ RF65 (semi‑gloss), both of which are also glass‑flake reinforced for maximum durability.
Best for: Industrial steelwork, marine and offshore structures, coastal pilings, heavy‑duty plant, long‑term protection requirements.
Polyurethane & Protective Topcoats
Topcoats such as Corroless™ RF61 / RF65 provide UV resistance, colour retention and a durable decorative finish. When applied over a primer or epoxy layer, they complete a high‑performance anti‑corrosion system.
RF16 (for domestic and light industrial use) and RF61/RF65 (for industrial environments) are all glass‑flake reinforced, ensuring the final finish is just as tough as the layers beneath it.
Best for: Outdoor steelwork, machinery, handrails, metal furniture, decorative finishes over EPF or primers.
