We are looking to recruit a hardworking and enthusiastic team member who wants to join our fast paced and friendly working environment. This is a full-time role based at our Barrow branch:
Key Areas of the Role:
In this role, you’ll be a core member of our team, providing both sales and stores’ support. You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive branch environment, where customer service and relationship building are at the heart of the role. Your sales duties will include liaising with customers and suppliers, preparing quotations and both answering and directing phone calls. You’ll also be responsible for processing sales and purchase orders and ensuring reports are accurately processed in a timely manner, keeping customers informed throughout the order process.
As part of the role, you will also be responsible for providing stores support. Your job role will include a variety of tasks, accurately following procedures for goods receipt process, responsible for loading and unloading deliveries, requiring the use of a forklift and aspects of manual handling. You will ensure that stock is stored away in the correct locations and complete regular stock counts, together with picking customer orders and arranging dispatch/ collection. Having a Full UK Driving Licence is essential as you will be required to use a company vehicle to make deliveries to our customers.
Reality Check:
Due to the nature of the role, tasks can be physically demanding, requiring aspects of manual handling. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is aware and prepared to undertake these duties on a regular basis.
Skills & Experience:
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate accuracy and a strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel
- Forklift License desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
Hours of work: 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 3pm on a Friday (1.30 pm Early Finish Friday – alternate weeks)
